Digital painting of Abbott’s starling, made as a commission for squawkoverflow.com, a very nice bird collecting game. Puedes ver el sitio y mi dibujo aquí.

There are not many pictures of this bird, so I have used references of similar birds (like Sharpe’s Starling and Purple-backed Starling) to get a better and more realistic result.

I started with some pencil studies, then I did the painting in greyscale with Procreate and finally I worked in Photoshop on the colouring and final details.
